Iron Girl Del Mar...what a fabulous event! This 5k and 10k is for the ladies only and was super fun. It was really really baking hot and we actually felt like horses running the start and the finish on the horse track at Del Mar...it gave Cindy's famous running mantra "HORSE TO THE BARN!!" a whole new dimension!
This event was the best though and I will list some reasons why...

I did this two years in a row in Boston and just loved it. However this year they are not hosting an event, apparently because there is a conflict with the scheduling and location of the race course with the arrival and departure of cruise ships at the nearby terminal. Really disappointed about this as it really is a fantastic event and well supported, and I know other female runners I have spoken with also feel the same way.

I was there! From the photo above right, I think my friend and I spoke with Christy. The darling little girl in the photo was her daughter. Anyway, the race was challenging but very fun. We want to do Iron Girl every year now. Your list of pet peaves is funny! Your skirts are so cute. Thanks for the discount card. I need to use it now on those cute skirts:) Happy running!
